Meet your EFMP Systems Navigators

Learn how the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) provides support to families with special needs.

Systems Navigators are Army Community Service (ACS) Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) staff members who will connect Families with special needs to the systems of care they need, both on and off the installation.


They can help by:

  • Identifying Exceptional Family Member (EFM) and Family strengths and needs, and prioritizing goals.
  • Developing a Family Service Plan to reach their goals.
  • Making referrals to required services.
  • Providing information about disabilities, medical conditions or concerns.
  • Identifying support groups and social activities.
  • Strengthening the Families’ ability to advocate for their EFM.
  • Providing Respite Care coordination. Assisting with ADA Housing coordination.
